Intro to Drawing
Communicating through construction drawings
Module Info
Introduction to Drawing is a module that teaches a student to present third dimensional surroundings or spaces, whether it be natural or built environments into two dimensional drawings that are scaled to proportion. The module aims for students to achieve understanding and application of technical drawings, and improve on observational and communication skills. Communication skills should also extend into their technical and orthographic drawings of a chosen space, not limited to it however. Drawings should also include site details which effectively communicates the layout of the site.
Conclusion

By the end of this module, I am able to understand construction drawings. Drawing conventions are the main take away personally, as without this module I wouldn't have known what gridlines, section symbols, scaling, and the likes are.
I would also say my conversion skills for calculations have significantly improved, especially since I think I'm bad at maths, now my calculating and conversion skills are better and faster.
My observation skills has also heightened as now I pay closer attention not just to the details of a space, but also the environment surrounding it as that contributes to how effective my drawings are at communicating important information.
