Technical Drawings
Assignment 1
Contact lenses case
Exploration and Process
As this was the first assignment, I would admit that I was quite clueless as to what I was doing. It was only during tutorials that I would come understand what differentiates elevation to section, or what a plan view is and how symbols are needed to be shown on the plan view when there is a section drawing of the same item.
This assignment definitely gave me a feel for what future assignments would be like, and for that, this exercise sets the tone for the entire module.
Reflection
Skills I've acquired/refined/learned:
Discipline Specific Knowledge
~Learn to pay attention to all details of the item
~Make sure there is continuity in all drawings, especially dimensions and measurements
Lifelong Learning
~Extract information from the contact lenses and present it in my drawing
Progress
as you can see, I was quite clueless and thought this was what a section drawing should look like
this was the draft for the plan view and the line weight was inconsistent
