Abstract Shapes

This project was a good lesson on the various rhythms there are. I had to redo most of the models as I realised later on that I misunderstood what the rhythm should be. For example, for the assymetric rhythm model; initially I planned to stick twine and polystyrene balls a certain way so it looks assymetric from the top view and then realised that the model should look assymetric from all angles, not just the top, that and the fact that pasting twine onto the board would be more pattern-like than an actual structure.

Reflection and Exploration

Skills I've acquired/refined/learned:

Intrapersonal skills

~Always made sure to show sketches during tutorial to get feedback from lecturers, this means that I can improve and have extra time to make the model

Thinking and Problem Solving skills

~Making 9 models of different rhythms look cohesive when put together and stick to a certain aesthetic
