Reflection
This project was the perfect opportunity to better myself at research and painting. I started off this project at a disadvantage as all my art materials were in KL and, due to quarantine, I had to travel back to JB where I had no art materials.

So out of the 4 weeks given to do this project, 1 week and 4 days was wasted on waiting for my art supplies order to arrive. All was good in the end as I planned a strategy that would help me get back on track once my supplies arrived.

If I had to pick my favourite assignment, it would definitely be this one as it kept me busy constantly and I hate doing nothing. Even on the days I felt demoted to continue with my work, I always had motivation from my course mates and lecturers which was very encouraging.
Skills I've acquired/refined/learned:

Intrapersonal skills
~Only trust the lecturer for any answers to my question
~Plan a schedule to get things done so I am always on time

Digital literacy
~Learned how to use a scanning app and a printer scanner for the first time in my life
~Made my first ever wix website to showcase my work which was quite difficult for me

Lifelong Learning
~Refined my researching abilities
~I made sure to check other websites for a piece of information so I know that the information I am putting down on paper is valid
Exploration and Process
One aspect of the nature journal that took myself getting used to was the amount of painting I had to do. I paint lots of abstract watercolour and acrylic pieces and have done a few landscape watercolour paintings however, I have never painted animals and flora in detail before so when I realised I had to paint them, I knew I had to start practicing lots.
Since I had to do 13 full sized paintings, I set aside 13 days dedicated for the nature journal. Everyday I painted the flora/fauna/natural phenomena/scenery and while it was drying, I researched about them and transferred the information from ipad to paper. This meant that every day, I was producing one completed work. It was very mentally fatiguing and definitely challenging but I got to practice and experiment with various watercolour techniques, hence improving my painting skills.
